Barbara Nelson, QC was a senior subject editor for JP Boyd on Family Law, jointly responsible for the pages on Family Law Agreements between 2013 and 2015. Barbara was called to the BC Bar in 1977 and is well known to anyone practicing family law in the province. She was the 1986 President of the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch after serving many years on its provincial council and executive. Barbara served as the family law practitioner on the Justice Reform Committee of British Columbia and co-chaired a committee on justice reform for the National Canadian Bar Association. A frequent panelist and writer on family law issues for Continuing Legal Education BC and other organizations, she has been involved with the Family Law Conference since its inception in 1995.
