What is family violence?
''Family violence'' is defined in very broad terms in section 1 of the ''[[Family Law Act]]'', and includes obvious things like physical abuse as well as:
#*sexual abuse;,#*attempts to physically or sexually abuse someone;,#*psychological and emotional abuse, including by harassing, stalking, or intimidating someone, or by restricting their liberty; and,#*in the case of children, being exposed to family violence.
