Kendra Marks (they/she) is a subject editor for JP Boyd on Family Law. She is responsible for the Family Law Litigation in Provincial Court chapter, and jointly oversees the general contents of the Resolving Family Law Problems in Court chapter. Kendra received their Juris Doctor degree from the University of Victoria in 2019 and also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree and a Master of Arts degree, both from the University of Calgary. Kendra was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2020 and has exclusively practiced in family law. She is experienced at representing clients both in and outside of court, and is active in the Collaborative Family Law Group (Victoria) as well as the BC Family Unbundling Roster. Kendra runs their own practice, Juniper Law, in Victoria. She is a supervising lawyer at the University of Victoria's student law clinic (The Law Centre), works as duty counsel for family law proceedings in Provincial Court, and is a member of the Society for Children & Youth’s children's counsel roster. Kendra also sits on the Violence Against Women in Intimate Relationships Committee and is a board member of Family Services of Greater Victoria. |
