After the respondent has been served with your Notice of Appeal, he or she they <span class="noglossary">will</span> have 10 days to file a Notice of Appearance and serve it on you, acknowledging your appeal. At this point, the respondent may choose to serve a Notice of Cross Appeal against you. This is the respondent's own separate appeal from the trial decision.
