Family Law Act Orders Picklist (Provincial Court)
The Provincial Court's Family Law Act Orders Picklist is produced by the BC Provincial Court, and is explained on its website. It contains specific examples for the wording in court orders, depending on the result a Provincial Court judge wants to achieve, and the specific rules or legislation that give the judge's orders their authority. This list is used by BC Provincial Court judges and court clerks. Each example in the pick‑list has a letter‑number code. The judge can quote the code to the clerk, and if the judge wants adjusted wording, the clerk simply edits the term on the spot. These examples can be modified and used in Form 44 (or Form 18 if you are drafting a consent order).
