Hi JP and Nate
I have made several substantive changes here that you will need to check, JP. ==Resources==
Point 6 is about I have added some resources - I am afraid that the generic lists of resources at the bottom of this section may not get readers to core publications. . . and that would be a technical problem, for Nateshame.
JP1. Re calling police if you have suffered abuse, you will see I have added some resources - I am afraid that the generic lists of a reference to two LSS resources at the bottom of this section may not get readers to core publications. . . and that would be a shame.
12. Re calling police if you have suffered abuse, I have taken contacting groups like Battered Women's Support Services - these days the liberty of including reference go-to two LSS resources hereis VictimLink. See what you thinkI added a paragraph about that - it's standard VictimLink language.
23. Re groups like Battered Women's Support Services - these days At the go-to is VictimLink - end of the part on protection orders, I added included a paragraph about that - standard VictimLink languagereference to the booklet, For Your Protection.(main ministry/lss book on the topic)
34. In terms At the end of child protection (end of a "safe house'copy) I made reference to an LSS publication, Parents'Rights, Kids'" I have referred to developing a safety plan as well as to the possibility of leaving the home and going to a safe placeRights. (Safety plans are big these days.)
46. At In terms of Resources and links, I took out the end of Dial-a-Law Dating Violence script (not relevant) and added the part LSS family law website stuff on child protection orders, . But the text does not seem to be fitting inside the text box - you can see the problem in View. (I included a reference hunted about to try to the booklet For Your Protectionsolve this but could not. )Gayla Reid (main ministry book on the topictalk) 17:04, 30 April 2013 (PDT)
5. At the end of child protection (end of copy) I again took the liberty of including reference to an LSS publication, Parents' Rights, Kids' Rights.==Focus==
6. In terms of Resources and links, I took out the Dial-a-Law Dating Violence script and added the LSS family law website stuff on child protection (bigger bang for your buck; this section is not about dating). But the text does not seem to be fitting inside the text box - you can see the problem in View. (I hunted about to try to solve this but could not.) 7. This is quite outside the realm of copy editing, but I found it a bit odd strange that a chapter on Family Violence would start off with a discussion of tort law. . . If I was doing a substantive edit, I would move up the call the police, call VictimLink to be the lead items, and move go on from there.Gayla Reid (talk) 17:04, 30 April 2013 (PDT)
