Workers can lose their job without notice or compensation if they do something seriously wrong. This is called being fired for “just <span class="noglossary">cause</span>.” Examples of when an employer might have just <span class="noglossary">cause</span> to fire a worker are if they are the worker is dishonest about something important, steal steals from the employer, or repeatedly breach breaches a clear workplace policy or rule.
